Chapter 154 - 127 After ten years, brother, I have come to find you again_2
Whoosh! Accompanied by a sharp whistling, a stream of fire rushed up from the river surface to hundreds of meters high.
With a bang, a massive golden firework, covering hundreds of meters, burst open, like a blooming golden lotus, illuminating both banks as if it were daylight.
With the rumbling of explosions in the sky, dazzling fireworks filled the sky, many even forming ferocious and fierce Mutated Beast patterns after exploding.
“Wow! That looks like a Golden Winged Scaled Dragon.”
“Damn, such a realistic mountain giant ape, 1 guess it’s about a hundred meters tall.”
A dozen or so teenagers sat in groups on the grass or stood on rocks, admiring the rare spectacle before their eyes.
Justin Welan’s eyes sparkled, excitedly saying, “This year’s factory-made fireworks are of good quality. 1 will order some to set off tomorrow night.”
Zac Lyons bitterly said, “Damn, it’s good to be rich like you guys, just ordering these ten thousand-dollar fireworks without a second thought.”
“Mr. Lewis, don’t be so sour. With your current strength, this money is nothing to you. After entering the Alien Beast Battlefield, killing a Level 3 Mutant Beast would be worth hundreds of thousands.”
Jack Clark and Freya Louise sat on the grass, watching the brilliant fireworks in the night sky. The girl whispered, “After so many years, 1 finally see the fireworks party in Mist River again.”
Jack looked at her, somewhat puzzled, “Why? Haven’t you come to see it before?”
The Mist River organizes a fireworks party one or two days before the New Year every year, which has almost become a tradition. In Jack’s memory, ‘he’ has seen it many times.
For Jack’s confusion, the girl whispered, “1 watched it a few times when I was little. Then 1 followed my father to live in Simon for ten years, and only returned this year.”
“So, it’s been almost ten years since I’ve seen it.” After finishing, the girl’s eyes were slightly blurred as she looked at the brilliant fireworks in the night sky, and it was unimown what she was thinking.
“No wonder.”
After the fireworks show, it was time for the New Year celebration, and Jack’s family, although small in number, was very lively.
Within the blink of an eye, several days passed, and on the third day of the New Year, Jack came to school to see Justin Welan and the others off.
The Alien Beast Battlefield was several primitive mountain ranges that had been sealed off by the military. Before the New Age, they were famous for their primeval forests, and some changes occurred later on.
Inside the mountains, Mutant Beasts emerged in an endless procession, and the speed and strength of their evolution far exceeded the outside world, making the area extremely dangerous.
To prevent powerful Mutant Beasts from breaking through and posing a threat to ordinary people outside, a strong man eventually laid down a huge enchantment seal.
Separating the primitive mountain ranges from the outside world, the Mutant Beasts could not leave, ordinary people could not enter, and entrance could only be accessed through the designated entrance.
This time, not only Crystal Leinster and the others, but also some Level 3 freshmen and over twenty senior students who came home for the New Year formed a group of nearly forty people.
When Jack came to see them off, Crystal and the others had not arrived yet. Instead, Justin Welan, Zac Lyons, and White Veil had all arrived early.
By this time, they all had weaponry on their backs, and boxes with battle armor were placed nearby.
After Jack came over, Justin Welan grinned and said, “Jack, we’ll go scout first, and you’ll catch up as soon as you finish your Dragon Elephant Overlord Body transfer.”
Jack nodded slightly, “Yeah, 1’11 catch up as soon as I’m ready.”
Zac Lyons seemed a bit reluctant, “There’s something missing without you joining us this time, Jack.”
” Missing a leader.” White Veil added.
Zac Lyons clapped his hands, “Right, that’s what I meant.”
They were a team during the Koroya Trial, and whenever they encountered enemies or fought, Jack was always the most courageous and responsive, instantly raising their morale.
If the others were slower, they wouldn’t even be able to pick up a single head, let alone have a share in the loot.
“… Go away, you guys aren’t going to commit murder and arson, so what do you need a leader for?” Jack said before laughing himself.
As the group chatted, Mullen Weisz and a couple of others, carrying a heavy hammer and a huge sword, arrived. The six of them joked and chatted, trading barbs with no sense of tension.
About ten minutes later, the Leinster siblings and Freya Louise finally came together.
Two girls who looked identical in appearance, height, and figure stood together, drawing attention, especially when exquisite-faced Freya Louise was added to the mix.
As soon as the three appeared, they attracted the attention of everyone present.
Justin Welan exclaimed, “Jack, have you noticed? The Class Leader and the others seem to be getting more and more beautiful.”
“Indeed.” Jack agreed, nodding his head.
He didn’t know if it was because they had grown up or experienced more, but Jack also found Crystal Leinster, Mandy Leinster, and Freya Louise all seemed to be even more beautiful than before.
Justin Welan sighed, “Such beautiful girls, 1 wonder who will be lucky enough to have them in the future.” After saying this, he stared straight at Jack.
“Uh… why are you looking at me?” Jack asked, puzzled.
Seeing Jack feigning ignorance, Justin Welan couldn’t help but say, “Jack, can you bear to let someone else have them?”
Jack, speechless, replied, “Don’t go talking nonsense. They’re coming, be careful they might clean you up.”
As the two whispered, Crystal and the others approached with their weapons slung on their backs and luggage in tow.
Seeing them, Jack greeted them actively, “Class Leader, Mandy, when you get there, be careful, and prioritize safety. If anything happens, let Mr. Willard handle it.”
Crystal nodded, “Don’t worry, that was my plan from the beginning, otherwise, I wouldn’t have formed a team with him.”
Before the groups could exchange pleasantries, the bus driver on the side of the road shouted from the window, “Everybody, get on the bus, we’re ready to leave..”
