Chapter 4: Second Evaluation [1]
Noah said then sighed.
"Tsk...now that I think about it, I've been too cocky about this whole situation."
"I do know almost everything about the game's world. But I'm new to this body I don't know its limits, weaknesses or strengths either..."
"Had the original owner even undergone an evaluation?"
Evaluation.
It was how the people of this world determined one's potential and abilities.
"In this world...there are certain constellations that grant the people of this world with talents."
"And each constellations has their own church.
They go as follows and not in any order of most powerful or any other ranking.
The Church of the god of Sword.
The Church of the Elemental god.
The Church of the god of Technique.
Its as simple as that.
When individuals reach the age of 8, they undergo an evaluation.
This means they have to visit the different churches each getting their aptitudes measured and affinity as well.
In this churches that have branches all over the 3 continents, individuals can visit them.
The curches have an oculus or a round crystal that one has to place their hands on.
If that certain constellation sees talent in them they are blessed and the crystal glows, signifying that they are talented and chosen by that specific constellation.
Thus the individual has to follow that church and that certain constellation as well."
Noah paused then continued as if teaching someone but in real sense he was getting the basics down and trying to remember the game world's details.
"For example, if the god of sword choses you, then you're affinity and abilities bend more on being a talented swordsman and thus you shall follow the church and its god.
If the god of Technique choses you, your abilities bend more on martial arts.
Its a bit different when it comes to the Elemental church.
The constellation might choose you ofcourse but then you have to go through another process.
The priests of the church have u stand on the church's altar usually signified by a large magic circle with six crystals in different colours situated around it.
Each crystal symbolizes a certain element.
Whatever your affinity, the corresponding crystal will glow."
"Now, usually the reason of following the churches is usually to worship the constellations.
Worship = more blessings.
One can either be gloryfying the constellations name but it's usually mandatory to visit the churches once or twice a month to ensure your relationship with your constellation is maintained.
Noah then sat down on the desk as all the information caused a mild headache but it instantly dissipated.
"As a gamer I exploited the idea of trying to learn swordsmanship, magic and even martial arts without needing to visit the churches.
It worked but compared to one following the churches they are favoured and far much talented.
So it's usually best to get evaluated and get the blessing of a constellation.
On top of that I tried to see if one could get all three blessings, but no matter what an individual can only be blessed by one.
So it all depends on luck and innate talent. That's why it's important to evaluate children at a young age so as to discover and work through their talent from a young age."
"Though there are certain individuals known as geniuses who are blessed by two constellations."
"Be it the sword god and the Elemental god.
Or the Technique god and Elemental god.
Whichever way they alternate these geniuses can never get 3 blessings."
"And never in my years as a gamer exploiting every possible outcome was there an individual with 3 constellation blessings."
Noah then proceeded to the mirror to look at himself and whether the fit he wore was befitting him.
He wore a white shirt with a string ribbon on the short collars. Black pants and boots.
He then tried to recall what blessings the original Noah had gotten only to find nothing.
The bodies memories were distant and yet near.
With the his previous life memories and the current character's memories constantly seeking dominance over the body. He knew it would take time before both correlated.
"Sigh...must be the reason why I'm meeting father..."
He remembered that before transmigrating, the original Noah was about to take a second evaluation in 3 days.
Which was today.
Second Evaluation was solely for those joining any Academy, it was somewhat mandatory and required by the school to check whether the students innate talents had changed...which was rare.
But still a possibility.
Noah moved to the desk again and picked up another paper.
"This is it..."
A paper that was the academy's evaluations and scores after students had taken the different tests.
"Hmmm...Magic, 89% scored?"
"Wow, the original Noah wasn't that bad..."
"Seems here physical tests are also taken...
As expected.
Mages are expected to be in great shape in both states of mind and physical.
"What?...is this an error?"
Noah said while looking at the next score.
[Physical Test: 22.1%]
"I wasn't expecting such a score..."
"So Noah is a potential and talented mage..."
"Tsk...Elemental god.
If there was a constellation I never liked, it was the god of elements.
No particular reason, just that learning magic was always hard for me while playing [Beyond Horizons].
Well...there are personal reasons as well..."
Noah thought, but he knew that wouldn't be the current situation as this body was already blessed by the constellation of elements.
"That's a bright side atleast..."
His mind then remembered the main characters from the game who would also attend the same Academy.
"Each and every one of those bastards have 2 blessings and I mean there's no one without 2.
Especially him..."
An image of the game's main character played in his mind. White hair, blue eyes and a lean build.
"Of course he would get favoured..."
He shook his head and abruptly remembered why he was here in the first place.
[If I were in control, I would have killed off every single Main Character...]
Noah remembered the review.
"Aahhh...that must be why I'm here..."
"The game developer who brought me here saw it as a challenge to the characters he/she wrote...that bastard probably saw them as perfect individuals without flaws..."
"But I know their true natures...even at times while playing, they seemed to have minds of their own rather than just being lines of code."
"Even so, its the early stages...and those bastards will lead the world to its inevitable end!"
"If that's the case, then my purpose here is simple..."
"I have to kill the main characters..."
