Chapter 72: Makeover.
It was time to get him a proper suit. Kyle went to one of the more elegant stores because he had to look expensive to command the respect he intended.
It took over an hour to get this sorted but Kyle ended up buying more than five suits for the future.
He didn't want to come to the shop each time he needed something so bought it in bulk along with some other corporate clothing that he might need.
He had no sense of fashion nor did he know which would be appropriate to wear in these kinds of meetings.
Kyle got into his car and headed home but he hoped not to run into Aiysha. He was beginning to dread their interactions because he didn't know how long it would be before that line was crossed.
That was one thing he couldn't do to Jones, it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that Jones had saved his life but then again, wouldn't he be doing him a favor if his wife does turn out to be unfaithful?
Because if she was then it would be safe that she did these sorts of things with her clients or maybe this was his porn brain influencing him.
Kyle arrived there but he saw Jones' car parked in the driveway, he didn't know why but he felt a sense of relief wash over him.
"Wait, Jones should have an idea," Kyle thought to himself but he wasn't going to knock at his door because he didn't know if Aiysha was home or not.
The best course of action would be to do so over a phone call, he had his number after all.
Kyle went back home and took a quick shower, he hoped the water wouldn't stop midway.
Fortunately for him, it didn't and this would be a good chance to finalize the quota for the building.
He gave Jones the go ahead to get the proceedings done in terms of involving a lawyer to draw up a contract.
"Goddamn! I actually do look good," Kyle muttered to himself, the eyebags were disappearing and he was no longer looking like a haggard old man.
No one would be able to guess what his life was like just a few days ago because he looked like a different man.
Kyle was happy with the way his life was turning out but there was one missing component, his body wasn't to his desired effect.
He wanted a little muscle, enough so he would have the physical power to not only defend himself but Jane.
It would be embarrassing if he confronted Mike and Mike ended up beating the shit out of him, that was a scenario that he knew must not come to pass.
Finally, he called Mr. Jones and it didn't even ring twice before Jones picked up his phone.
[[Jones here,]] Jones began the conversation.
"Kyle here, are you home? I could use your help," Kyle requested, getting right to the point.
[[I'm home… Is this a sex thing?]] Jones asked after a brief pause.
"What the hell? If this was a sex thing, I would have the decency to take you out first," Kyle fired back but the fact that he indulged Jones to this extent was proof of their growing relationship.
[[I'm allergic to garlic.]] Jones responded with an awkward silence following shortly after.
"I AM NOT TAKING YOU OUT!" Kyle screamed.
[[Excuse me for thinking I'm worth some dinner.]] Jones wasn't backing down but Kyle knew he had to take a deep breath or Jones would win.
"Fine, I will get you some dinner," Kyle conceded.
[[Ah! I knew this was a sex thing!]] Jones barked and at the moment, Kyle was wondering why he didn't just go to his house and drag his ass out.
"JUST GET HERE!" Kyle shouted. Once upon a time, he couldn't even think of talking to Jones like this but this new form of communication wasn't because of his sudden increase in status but rather, their relationship evolving to this level.
Kyle didn't have to wait for long because a second after, there was a knock on his door.
He heaved a sigh of relief as he walked towards the door with a towel tied firmly around his waist.
Kyle paused for a second, he knew if he opened the door wearing this then Jones was definitely going to talk about the sex thing.
He grumbled before breaking away into his room to grab a trouser.
He finally returned to open the door and Jones was waiting, Kyle wanted to ask why he wasn't at work but her knew that this conversation could be had at a later time.
He had a few more hours until his meeting and that took priority right now.
"Is there something wrong?" Jones demeanour changed immediately when they were face-to-face.
No one would guess the conversation they just had moments ago.
"Yes, I need your help to pick out a suit. I have a very important meeting and I didn't know who else to call…" Kyle got right to it.
Jones could tell this was important by the way he spoke but also felt flattered that he was Kyle's go to person. It meant that Kyle trusted his judgement for something this important.
Without saying another word, Kyle brought the clothes he had bought and returned to show Jones.
Jones couldn't help but admire what he had done with the place and this could potentially be how every room in this building looked.
But he wasn't going to let his mind wander, they had to handle what was at hand right now.
"I need your help, which do you think will be appropriate for a meeting?" Kyle asked, rubbing his lower chin.
"I need to know what setting the meeting would be held in." Jones responded, he was taking this seriously and Kyle was relieved with this reaction.
He kenw he could let Jones in on his business, he trusted him funny enough.
"It is a potential partnership with a very big entertainment company but it is being held at night which is a bit weird," Kyle responded, taking a seat across him after laying the suits across the table between them.
"A meeting at night with a big entertainment company? You don't need to dress too serious but you also can't dress too casual. You need to show your sense of fashion, it would help in how you're perceived but if you wear a suit at night? I personally would think you were a person that played by the books.
If it is a big corporation, you can't give them such a narrow-minded perception so suits are a no go… But a blazer in place of a suit would do you good. I also noticed you have no accessories, I never see you with any jewelries, you should probably get some, " Jones have an in-depth analysis of what he saw.
Kyle was surprised that he could see things in this light because these were thoughts he didn't even know were possible.
Kyle realized that Jones was spot on.
There was no way a big entertainment got there by playing by the rules so if he came dressed like a lawyer, they might take it as a sign of his ability to be inflexible but wearing a blazer would make it harder to get a read on him but he had no jewelries.
That was the only problem, Kyle never bothered with these things but if Jones thought it would help then he saw no harm in doing it.
"I don't have any jewelries and I don't even know what would be appropriate to wear," Kyle confessed.
" You don't need to worry about that but first, how do you feel about piercing your ears?" Jones asked and Kyle raised a brow at this suggestion.
"Huh?" Kyle was confused.
Jones was taking an interest in this a lot more than he thought he would. It was like he wanted to use Kyle as some a guinea pig for an unrealized dream.

Kyle already came this far and saw no reason why he needed to back out now.
-
A few hours later, Kyle looked like a completely different man and he was stunned that Jones had such a skillset under his belt because he looked like your everyday dad yet he managed to make Kyle into a godlike specimen.
But Kyle had also gotten a piercing in his respective ears with a green dye on one side of his face but only on the tip.
But the moment of truth was in a few hours, Kyle crossed his fingers and hoped that this would be enough.
