Chapter 836: Dragon Devil Clan!
Every new place carried its own customs, and the taste of celestial wines varied in different worlds.
The wines of the Heavenly Deity Star Street, sourced from the myriad celestial realms of the Samsara Galaxy, were anything but ordinary.
The wine-pot-shaped building before them was ten times larger than the Nine Thunders Divine Ark. Enhanced by various celestial formations, it shimmered with colorful lights—a display of grandeur.
With such an imposing storefront, how could the wine be anything less than exceptional?
Through the celestial formations and thick walls, Yun Xiao\'s nose caught the rich aromas of thousands of intoxicating brews, each rivaling the supreme brew that the Ice Lineage Diva had presented him.
Truth be told, his fingers were already itching to taste.
"It\'s just wine; it shouldn\'t cost her much. Alright, I\'ll give her a chance to show off." Thinking this, Yun Xiao chuckled softly and said, "Then I\'ll happily accept your offer."
"Alcoholic!" Feng Yao snorted, casting him a sidelong glance. She knew he couldn\'t resist the allure of fine wine. He could resist beauties, but not a good drink.Even so, finding his interest made her genuinely happy.
The two walked together toward the colossal liquid store.
Yun Xiao was a man of unparalleled divine looks; Feng Yao was enchanting and beautiful, her figure unrivaled. With her holding his arm, the two moved intimately, naturally becoming the focus wherever they went.
This Heavenly Deity Star Street was a gathering place of heroes, especially during the Grand Assembly of Myriad Sects. Anyone daring to flaunt themselves here surely had a formidable background. Only a fool would act out of line with their status.
Most people observed Yun Xiao and Feng Yao from a distance, inquiring quietly but not daring to cause trouble. So, despite the bustling Heavenly Deity Star Street, their world of two remained peaceful.
"Southern Divine Dragon Cellar?"
At the magnificent entrance of the liquor store, Feng Yao read the name on the signboard.
The liquor store\'s doorway was a massive golden dragon\'s head. Its giant horns pierced the sky, long whiskers fluttered, and golden eyes like suns. With its mouth open, it gazed arrogantly in all directions, exuding overwhelming dominance.
This dragon\'s mouth was the entrance to the Southern Divine Dragon Cellar.
"Why does that name sound familiar?" Feng Yao asked curiously.
"Probably connected to the Extreme Yin Celestial Realm\'s mortal foe, the Southern Divine Dragon," Yun Xiao said calmly, his eyes fixed on the bustling Southern Divine Dragon Cellar.
Through the dragon\'s open maw, they could see inside. The place teemed with people—drunken Immortals laughing and chatting, the scent of wine mingling with the stench.
"Should we still go in?" Feng Yao asked, frowning slightly.
"Sure, we\'re just buying wine. Besides, we don\'t have Extreme Yin Celestial Realm written on our faces, do we?" Yun Xiao shrugged.
"True enough!"
They bore little to mark them as from the Extreme Yin Celestial Realm.
Feng Yao\'s spirits lifted again. The two of them, close as ever, joined the crowd entering through the golden dragon\'s mouth.
As they moved, Yun Xiao kept his eyes open.
At the entrance stood a group of burly men in black armor—the guards of the Southern Divine Dragon Cellar.
The Heavenly Deity Star Street had strict security; shops didn\'t need heavy protection. The door guards mainly served to welcome guests.
Yun Xiao focused on their appearance.
These black-armored giants stood eight feet tall, some even nine—like small mountains. Next to them, Feng Yao seemed almost petite.
Their height and build were like devils; Feng Yao\'s father and clansmen were much the same.
And they had a distinctive feature.
Each of them had a black dragon horn on their head—thick and large, ending in sharp points. Unlike Feng Yao\'s blood-colored, gem-like horn, theirs looked more like a masculine weapon.
No doubt, the hardness of these horns rivaled the claws of demons, forged with great power to withstand attacks from celestial treasures and Sword Souls.
Their black armor was adorned with dragon patterns, especially on the chest, where a mighty, cold, domineering dragon face was depicted. The divine dragon seemed lifelike, its eyes glaring fiercely at all who approached, creating a sense of oppression for the guests.
These features were just like devils—much like Yin Devils such as Feng Yao. However, their source of power wasn\'t devil blood but the celestial power in their Dantian. This meant they were essentially human.
Though their vitality was abundant and their flesh strong, this was forged by the cultivation methods of Martial Immortals, not the natural strength of devils.
Of course, they did have some devil bloodline, which made their vitality strong. Each possessed talent in the Martial Dao, and their physical presence exerted a strong oppressive force.
As Yun Xiao observed them, he overheard conversations nearby.
Two Immortal companions seemed to be visiting the Heavenly Deity Stellar River for the first time.
"Brother Dugu, do you see those fellows over there? They\'re the Dragon Devil Clan of the Southern Divine Dragon. Though they\'re human, they carry dragon devil blood. Each one has the talent of a Martial Immortal, with astonishing physical strength. They can wield Sword Souls, Life Sigils, and learn spirit cultivation methods—their individual combat prowess is astounding," a white-robed Immortal said.
"Their physical gifts are truly enviable," his companion in green robes replied.
"In recent years, the Southern Divine Dragon has risen swiftly, breaking into the top ten of the Heavenly Deity Stellar River. It\'s no wonder. Their status now is much higher than before!" the white-robed Immortal remarked.
"Ah, but it\'s not their status I envy," the green-robed Immortal said.
"Oh? Then what is it?"
Glancing around to make sure no one was listening, the green-robed Immortal leaned in and whispered, "I\'ve heard the Dragon Devil Clan is extraordinarily endowed—famously said to be hung like a donkey. And without the devil\'s foul stench, they\'re quite favored by the ladies. Even those with average cultivation levels often receive invitations from Immortal women for dual cultivation, living quite the enjoyable life!"
The white-robed Immortal blushed and coughed. "Don\'t speak such nonsense! We cultivators, especially the celestial goddesses, are ethereal beings—how could they be swayed by such base desires?"
"I\'m just repeating what I\'ve heard!" The green-robed Immortal glanced at the physiques of the black-armored giants and sighed. "But the saying about them might just be true."
"Focus on cultivation, my friend. The heavens and earth are vast, but none is greater than the Dao. We on the Immortal path should dedicate ourselves to our practice," the white-robed Immortal advised.
"Indeed!"
"Besides, I\'ve heard that the women of the Southern Divine Dragon have extremely low status, often treated like cattle and sheep, without any dignity. How could those celestial goddesses fancy such crude men?"
As they chatted, they passed ahead of Yun Xiao and, welcomed by the black-armored members of the Dragon Devil Clan, entered the Southern Divine Dragon Cellar.
Behind them, Yun Xiao and Feng Yao approached the black-armored giants. They were about to enter when suddenly, a dozen pairs of dark eyes fixed abruptly on Feng Yao!
"Whoosh!
Almost in unison, they thrust out their massive arms, blocking Yun Xiao and Feng Yao\'s path.
"What\'s the meaning of this?" Feng Yao was startled by their sudden move.
"Look over there!"
One of the black-armored giants cast a cold glance at her, pointing to a golden dragon fang above their heads.
Yun Xiao and Feng Yao looked up.
When they saw the words carved into the dragon tooth, one was speechless while the other seethed with anger.
The inscription read—No women or dogs allowed inside!
Yun Xiao had just left a world where men were treated as immortal slaves. Seeing this sign at the Southern Divine Dragon Cellar gave him a surreal sense of deja-vu.
Feng Yao was furious. Her good mood, eager to buy wine for Yun Xiao, was utterly spoiled.
"Are you out of your minds?" she couldn\'t help but snap.
At her outburst, the faces of the dozen black-armored giants grew stern and cold.
Their skin was dark, their demeanor icy and fierce. Towering and burly, they swept disdainful gazes over Feng Yao. In their eyes, there was no trace of pity or appreciation—only the same contempt the celestial maidens of the Extreme Yin Celestial Realm showed toward their slaves.
"Leave. Otherwise, we\'ll report you to the Heavenly Deity Alliance and have you expelled from Heavenly Deity Star Street for causing trouble," a nine-foot-tall guard said coldly.
From his words, it was clear that Heavenly Deity Star Street maintained strict order. Otherwise, with their brutish stance, they would have driven them off themselves.
"Let\'s go," Yun Xiao said.
It was just about buying wine; not a big deal.
Since there was an issue, they could simply go elsewhere.
After all, the guards were just enforcing their own rules. In their establishment, they had the right to choose their patrons.
"The Southern Divine Dragon dares to discriminate against women? What fools," Feng Yao muttered.
Though she walked beside Yun Xiao, she was still fuming, cursing under her breath.
"You didn\'t seem to complain back in the Extreme Yin Celestial Realm," Yun Xiao remarked.
Feng Yao pouted. "It\'s only when it happens to you that you realize how disgusting discrimination is. So you were right."
Putting oneself in another\'s shoes truly brought the deepest understanding.
On this point, Yun Xiao felt that neither side was justified. They were all human; there was no reason to divide high and low based on gender—it made no sense.
"Please, wait!"
Yun Xiao hadn\'t expected someone would try to stop them. He and Feng Yao turned back to see a man in a violet robe emerge from among the group of black-armored giants.
