The Young Urban Doctor

Chapter 222 - 222

“Return my hat to me,” seeing Luo Ziling catching up, Yang Qingyin tidied her hair and reached out her hand to Luo Ziling.

The hat had fallen from her head and had been in Luo Ziling’s possession ever since.

Planning to walk back to the dormitory without revealing her true face, Yang Qingyin still intended to put the hat back on.

“I won’t give it to you,” Luo Ziling didn’t hand the hat over to her but instead stepped forward to put it on for her, and also conveniently tidied her hair for her.

Luo Ziling’s considerate action made Yang Qingyin involuntarily reveal a shy expression, but she didn’t avoid him and let Luo Ziling put the hat on and arrange her hair properly.

“Your hair is really smooth,” Luo Ziling played with Yang Qingyin’s black hair for a bit and laughed, “Even the women’s hair in those shampoo ads doesn’t seem as smooth as yours.”

“As if you’ve touched their hair,” Yang Qingyin glanced sideways at Luo Ziling, letting him stroke her long hair.

“Hehe, it just feels that way.” Luo Ziling grabbed Yang Qingyin’s hand, “Alright, let’s head back, it’s getting a bit chilly. Rest early.”

It was already around nine forty. Time always flew by when he spent it with Yang Qingyin.

“Mm,” Yang Qingyin softly agreed, compliantly letting Luo Ziling hold her hand.

The two of them were filled with warmth and sweetness, an indescribable feeling.

Before meeting Luo Ziling, Yang Qingyin had never imagined being with a guy would feel so warm and cozy.

The romantic scenes she used to read about in novels weren’t just the authors talking nonsense; they were actually true.

“I had a really nice time today,” Yang Qingyin told Luo Ziling when they were about to part.

While Luo Ziling and Yang Qingyin were happily and sweetly walking back holding hands, in a high-end suite of a five-star hotel about two kilometers away from Yan University, a man and a woman were having a secret meeting.

The man asked the woman, “Have you found out about the man who came with Ouyang Feifei?”

The woman cooed, “Mr. Chen, I haven’t let you down, I’ve managed to find out some information.”

“Tell me what you’ve found out,” the man seemed surprised but remained unfazed.

“The man’s name is Luo Ziling, a student of Clinical Medicine at Yan University. He should be the grandson of an old friend of Sir Ouyang. However, detailed information about him is unavailable,” the woman spoke softly, “He seems to be a special admission as his college entrance exam scores are unavailable and his profile is not detailed. Also, he had conflicts with Li Jiacheng and the son of Li Zhengcheng, as well as a person named Lu Weiguang. Later, Ouyang Feifei intervened and sorted out the issue for him. I heard the Li Family had to pay a significant price to appease Ouyang Feifei’s anger. How Lu Weiguang got into a conflict with him and how it was resolved, I’m not yet certain. This man seems to have medical knowledge, and possibly Ouyang Feifei was sick and he treated her. Wang Qing seems very dissatisfied with him, but I was unable to extract any information from her.”

“Oh!” The man responded lightly and then stopped asking.

The woman nestled into his embrace and whispered softly, “Mr. Chen, I will continue to investigate this person’s matters.”

“The information you’ve gathered is quite useful,” the man patted the woman’s arm, “You’re performing better and better, I will reward you.”

The woman giggled upon hearing the man’s praise and said flirtatiously, “Mr. Chen, I prefer to work by your side. Working by Ouyang Feifei’s side is too stressful. She’s very shrewd and cold, and the slightest mistake could get me scolded.”

“Aren’t you satisfied with being Ouyang Feifei’s front desk secretary?” the man laughed vulgarly, “Your position there proves your capability; you need to keep it up. Coming back to my side, what role do you think you can play? As long as you perform excellently, you’ll reap greater benefits.”

“I could help you with things every day. I’m willing to do anything,”

“You’re asking for a lot,” the man said in a different tone.

This statement made the woman shudder and she dared not ask for more, “Mr. Chen, I was just joking with you.”

While speaking, she quickly offered a suggestion, “Mr. Chen, yesterday I overheard Ouyang Feifei on the phone saying she plans to find an English tutor for Luo Ziling. I think, we could have Chen Wanqing take on this task. She could devastate him.”

The man’s eyes lit up at the idea, but he didn’t show much reaction.

After a while, the man left the hotel, leaving the woman who had fallen asleep alone in the room.

Half an hour after leaving the hotel, he appeared at another woman’s apartment.

“I have a task for you,” the man said to the woman without any emotion, “Try to secure the chance to tutor a freshman named Luo Ziling in English.”

“Is this Luo Ziling a friend of Mr. Chen?” the woman laughed, “For such a small matter, Mr. Chen has to personally give the order?”

“Destroy this man,” the man ignored the woman’s teasing and said coldly, “I hate this person.”

The woman immediately understood the man’s intention and laughed seductively, “Does Mr. Chen want me to ruin him?”

“Smart.” The man reached into his pocket, took out a check but didn’t fill in the amount, just signed it, tore it off and handed it to the woman, saying, “Fill in any amount you want once the task is completed.”

The woman felt honored to receive such favor and quickly took the check, secured it, and then hugged the man, “Please rest assured, Mr. Chen, I will definitely surprise you.”
