The Young Urban Doctor

Chapter 432: 432: Let the Misunderstanding Be

Both looked up at the same time to see Ouyang Feifei in her pajamas standing at the top of the stairs, staring down at them with an unfriendly expression.

Startled, Luo Ziling quickly pushed Ouyang Huihui away. Ouyang Huihui, desperate to struggle free from his grasp, took advantage of this push to retreat. She screamed, then fell back onto the couch.

Luo Ziling acutely felt that, in the process of pushing Ouyang Huihui away, he had touched a very soft part of her body.

Ouyang Huihui naturally felt it too, which filled her with indignation—Luo Ziling had taken advantage of her once again.

She didn’t know how many times this had happened already.

Ouyang Feifei didn’t come down the stairs but just looked on coldly at the two awkward figures below.

Luo Ziling was extremely frustrated. He didn’t know how to explain the situation, feeling that even if he told the whole story, he wouldn’t quite believe it himself.

What’s worse, Ouyang Huihui suddenly spoke up, “Sister, he tried to take liberties with me.”

As she spoke, she tugged at her slightly disheveled clothes and pouted in grievance, “If you hadn’t appeared, he might have succeeded.”

Ouyang Feifei glanced at Ouyang Huihui, then turned her gaze back to Luo Ziling.

“Forget it, I won’t explain. Believe whatever you want,” Luo Ziling thought better of trying to clarify and simply left it at that, saying no more.

“Come up and treat me,” Ouyang Feifei said, then turned and entered her room.

“If you like making wild guesses, go ahead. It would be great if you could make your sister believe I’ve already done something to you!” Luo Ziling didn’t immediately follow her but mockingly said to Ouyang Huihui, “How does that suggestion sound? Or shall we do something else now?”

Seeing Luo Ziling approaching her, Ouyang Huihui screamed, quickly grabbed a cushion to shield herself, and warned him not to come closer. Luo Ziling just snorted at Ouyang Huihui and then turned to go upstairs.

As he neared Ouyang Feifei’s room, he saw the woman already lying face down on the bed, her long hair scattered around her head, her body covered with a thin quilt still dressed in pajamas.

“Alright, let’s start the treatment,” Luo Ziling said as he sat down at the bedside, preparing the disinfectant and silver needles.

He didn’t explain the incident just now, and after speaking those few words, he asked Ouyang Feifei to get ready for the treatment.

After Ouyang Feifei indicated she was ready, Luo Ziling began the acupuncture therapy.

The entire treatment lasted for about half an hour, during which neither of them spoke, filling the room with uncomfortable silence.

But Luo Ziling didn’t care and focused on his work, his touch remaining neutral even as he felt Ouyang Feifei’s smooth skin. After the treatment was finished, he asked about Ouyang Feifei’s sensations, gave her some instructions, then packed up his stuff and prepared to leave.

Ouyang Feifei was drowsy and felt completely drained. She hadn’t expected Luo Ziling to be in such a hurry to leave. It was only when she heard his footsteps exiting her room, descending the stairs, that she became fully alert.

Struggling to get up from the bed, she walked to the staircase just in time to see Luo Ziling talking to Ouyang Huihui.

“I’m leaving now. I’ll take a cab back,” Luo Ziling said to Ouyang Huihui before ignoring her and heading straight for the door.

“Luo Ziling, wait for me, I’ll go back with you,” Ouyang Huihui bounced off the sofa and chased after him.

Ouyang Feifei paused but ultimately didn’t go downstairs. Instead, she turned and went back to her room.

Ouyang Feifei did not believe what Ouyang Huihui had just said about Luo Ziling trying to take liberties with her; it must have been Ouyang Huihui causing a fuss for no reason.

Even if Luo Ziling had thought about taking liberties with Ouyang Huihui, he couldn’t possibly do it in her villa while she was present.

The situation she had just witnessed must have been some kind of dispute or something similar.

But Ouyang Feifei knew that her cold demeanor just now had angered Luo Ziling. She was annoyed too; Luo Ziling didn’t offer any explanation, didn’t initiate conversation while treating her, and rudely left as soon as the treatment was finished.

She had mentioned before the treatment that she had something to discuss with him once it was over. Ouyang Feifei indeed had important matters to discuss with Luo Ziling, matters regarding their cooperation, but since Luo Ziling had left, she could only wait to talk to him another time.

After returning to her room, she picked up her phone, composed a message, and sent it to Luo Ziling.

Without waiting for his reply, she threw the phone aside and lay down on the bed, ready to take a nap.

After Luo Ziling’s treatment, she felt as if all her strength had been drained; she was too lazy even to take a shower and just wanted to sleep.

Luo Ziling left Ouyang Feifei’s villa feeling a mix of annoyance and embarrassment and ignored Ouyang Huihui, who had chased after him.

He was quite angry; the whole day spent with the sisters had been nothing but awkward and dull.

The good feelings he had started to develop for the two sisters had vanished almost entirely in an instant, to the point where he couldn’t be bothered to pay attention to Ouyang Huihui, who had run after him.

“Luo Ziling, what’s the matter with you?” Ouyang Huihui took a few quick steps to catch up to him and grabbed his arm, “Why are you angry? Wasn’t I just playing with you?”

“I’m not angry, I just want to go back,” Luo Ziling didn’t struggle but looked coldly at Ouyang Huihui. “I ate a bit too much tonight, I want to walk off the meal. You can drive back by yourself!”

Seeing Luo Ziling’s expression, Ouyang Huihui released his arm with a bit of fear, because she saw indifference in his eyes.

“I’m sorry, I was just playing with you,” Ouyang Huihui softened her tone, the embarrassment and annoyance she had felt earlier when Luo Ziling took advantage of her had vanished, “Please don’t be mad, okay?”

Surprised that Ouyang Huihui didn’t confront him as she usually did and instead quickly backed down, Luo Ziling was taken aback.

“Come back in my car. I’m a bit scared alone, and I don’t have a bodyguard with me. You wouldn’t have the heart to let me drive back to school by myself, would you? Keep me company, otherwise if something happens, it would be terrible.” Seeing that Luo Ziling’s tone had softened, Ouyang Huihui felt a surge of joy and again reached for his arm, “Come on, I’ll treat you to supper later if need be.”

Luo Ziling didn’t insist and followed Ouyang Huihui back to where she had parked.

After they both got into the car, Ouyang Huihui promptly started the vehicle and left Ouyang Feifei’s villa.

But Luo Ziling didn’t speak, and Ouyang Huihui also didn’t know what to say.

“Where do you want to go for supper?” After driving for a while, Ouyang Huihui finally mustered the courage to turn her head and ask Luo Ziling.

“I don’t want to eat,” Luo Ziling shook his head, “Let’s go back to school. I’m tired and want to sleep early.”

“Okay then,” Ouyang Huihui didn’t press further, “that means I owe you a supper. I seem to owe you several now; I’ll make up for them gradually. How about I treat you to dinner tomorrow if you’re free?”

“I probably won’t be free,” Luo Ziling flatly refused, “We’ll talk about it later!”

Hearing Luo Ziling’s outright refusal, a wave of disappointment washed over Ouyang Huihui, as well as an anger she could barely contain. But after glaring at Luo Ziling, she eventually responded indifferently, “Fine, then we’ll talk about it another time!”
