AI Doctor : From Slave to Beast King

Chapter 114: A trick

"Lady Wistoria, what's going on?" The guards who were standing outside the temple saw the woman walking towards them and rushed to where she was standing. "What happened inside?"

Wistoria didn't answer their question. She walked past the guards and came to a stop in front of the crowd. Throwing the detached head on the ground, she addressed the crowd,

"Anyone who values their lives, you better run away from this temple as soon as possible! Dark guild members have taken control of this place, and they have a cursed weapon potent enough to kill everyone in the vicinity. Unless you do not wish to die, you better get away from here!" Wistoria warned the crowd. Her loud voice echoed in the surroundings, causing the crowd to fall silent.

But three seconds later the crowd exploded, and cold sweat covered their faces.

"AHHH!" .net

"Get me out of here!"

"Dark Guild beastmen!"

"There are dark beastmen in there!"

Everyone had seen and felt the terror of the dark guild beastmen when Azazel was still alive and in power. They have not forgotten how these people have killed and ruined ordinary beastmen like them.

They had absolutely no power to resist in front of them.

"L–Lady Wistoria, you cannot say these things to the commoners. If they were to know the truth they would panic—"

"Just because the officials do not care for their lives, it doesn't mean that we should lose our conscience either," Wistoria turned and looked at the guards before saying to them, "It's better than seeing them all die."

She then said to them, "Your colleagues are already dead. If you are waiting for them, then you might as well run away with the crowd because those whom you are waiting for are not going to return."

"My condolences," she added before turning around on her feet and walking back inside the temple.

The two guards behind her turned teary-eyed as one of them crouched down on the floor and buried his face in his knees.

The sound of sobbing echoed through the now silent temple, and Wistoria closed her eyes. However, she only paused for a second before marching forward. There was no time to waste.

Doomsday, it was a curse beyond the understanding of many. Only a transcendental beastmen with power unknown to them could create a curse as strong as the one that Andres had in his possession.

And he was plotting to commit mass murder using it.

But if that was his plan—why did he not do anything when the crowd was still standing outside? Wistoria couldn't help but question.

"What is he planning—what the fuck?" Wistoria's eyes widened as she turned to look at the mist that had surged forth and surrounded the entire temple.

"Wa–what is this," Wistoria exclaimed as she strode towards the wall of mist. She raised her hand and tentatively touched the wall of the mist that was surrounding the entire temple.

Hiss

The smell of burning flesh wafted over to her nostrils, and Wistoria reeled her hand back, she looked down at her arm, which melted upon the touch of the mist.

"Hmm, what are you doing here?"

Wistoria wheeled around on her feet and turned to look at Andres who was standing on the top of the entrance door.

He placed his hands on his chin and muttered, "What a fascinating sight…and here I thought that my men would be able to keep you inside the temple for a while," his gaze fell on the head that was lying on the ground and clicked his tongue. "Truly a disappointment, I thought that he would amount to more than this…. Looks like I expected too much from these low-ranking beastmen."

"Andres," Wistoria took three steps back, she couldn't see him clearly as he was standing on the other side of the mist-making. "You did this? What are you trying to do?"

"What am I trying to do?" Andres mimicked with a jeer. "Why don't you stay inside and try to think about it? I am sure you have a lot of time on your hands."

"And of course don't try to get out of this mist wall because if you dare to touch it, then you will end up turning into a puddle of flesh and blood. Even your bones will melt."

"What– are you trying to do?" Wistoria bellowed.

"Like I said, use that pretty head of yours," Andres chuckled as he looked away. "You and your foolish teammates have already wasted enough of my time. So I don't have time to answer your question."

"ANDRES!"

"What the hell is going on," Wistoria clenched her hands, causing blood to drip down. "Wasn't this temple your target that you wanted to attack?"

However, no matter how loud Wistoria screamed, no response other than the hissing and popping of the acidic mist was given to her.

WHAM!

"Anyone who stands against us deserves to die," Alton guffawed as he chased after Xavier and Levi. Behind him were countless spiders that bit and nipped Xavier and Levi.

And if that wasn't all, Alton continued to attack them with his spider webs and tiny needle-like missiles.

"Andres isn't here which means that you are only here to stop us," Levi raised his foot and slammed it on the ground, causing the entire floor to rise up and stop the thin needles that were aimed at them.

"Ahaha!" Alton chuckled as he remarked, "You both are really smart. You cottoned on it so soon."

As he spoke he raised his hand and waved it aside causing strings of sticky spider webs to shoot through his knuckles. Xavier jumped to the right while Levi jumped to the left, causing the sticky spider web to cover the staircase making it impossible for anyone to climb it up.

"This bastard—"
